New brochure: Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic 2020-21 Antarctica

Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic has launched its 2020-21 Antarctica brochure inviting adventurers to visit one of the most exhilarating places on Earth.

New for 2020, travellers will have their choice in experiencing the world's foremost polar vessel, National Geographic Endurance, making her Antarctic debut in October 2020. Slated for delivery in January 2020, the new 126-guest vessel is the first new polar build in the line's history and uniquely equipped to facilitate unparalleled bases for discovery whilst providing state of the art features for an excellent experience. Travellers may choose from several itineraries: the 12-day Journey to Antarctica: The White Continent, 17-day South Georgia and the Falklands and 22-day Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falklands. Guests visit the penguin rookeries, seeing Adelies, chinstraps and gentoos in Antarctica; king penguins in South Georgia, and macaroni penguins in the Falklands, plus whales, leopard seals, albatross and more.  National Geographic Endurance will also depart on Epic Antarctica, a new and unique itinerary that explores the seventh continent with two departures only. The 34-day expedition, departing on 27 December 2020 and 26 January 2021, and will explore from the Antarctic Peninsula to West Antarctica and the Ross Sea.

On select departures, guests can also participate in Citizen Science – where travellers can collect and contribute data on species they come across during their trip to South Georgia. Citizen Science creates opportunities for guests to meaningfully contribute to the understanding of the environments visited, with the data then made available to researchers, conservationists and governments for their review.

Each Antarctica season provides remarkable opportunities for guests – allowing them to explore the world's most remote and magisterial continent. With 50+ years of polar heritage, guests can experience this exhilarating adventure in the company of Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic's renowned expedition team.

Travellers on select voyages will also have the opportunity to hear from Global Perspective guest speakers – taken from the top tiers of world affairs, journalism and exploration, and part of your expedition guest community.  From ecologists to a former NASA Chief Scientist, guests will learn about the Antarctic's ice and its environments from special guests including Christiana Figueres, Peter Hillary, Dr. Kathryn Sullivan and Dr. Robert Bindschadler.
